At the launch of the plan, CEO and Chairman, Remo Ruffini, emphasized the urgency of social and ecological improvements in order to create a healthy future. These range from reducing its environmental impact in order to become CO2-neutral, through the recycling of fabric scraps and the use of sustainable nylons, to the abandonment of single-use plastics or the switch to renewable energy by 2023. Another focus is also on the implementation of innovative processes for Promotion of the circular economy as well as the traceability of raw materials and the continuous improvement of social and environmental standards along the entire supply chain.
To protect people, the plan includes both internal and external awareness-raising initiatives. These aim to strengthen diversity while promoting a constant, integrative culture. Measures to implement these projects include supporting local communities through at least one highly effective social project per year, protecting 100.000 children and families from the cold by 2023, and volunteer work by every employee until 2022.
