BELL CHAIR - SUSTAINABILITY

100% recycled plastic made from industrial waste

Bell Chair is made from 100% recycled polypropylene. Designed and conceptualized by Konstantin Grcic and the well-known Italian designer house Magis, the recycled plastic comes from industrial residues from Magis' very own production as well as from the local Italian automotive industry. Therefore, the chairs consist out of high quality plastic which has not been used before. The recycling process was specially designed and patented for Bell Chair. The modern chair implements an almost closed cycle in terms of production and disposal.

A lightweight among the Monoblanc chairs

The designer's goal is to raise more awareness for creativity within the industry. As a monobloc chair, Bell Chair is produced in one piece, only weighing 2,7 kg and therefore being a lightweight of its kind. Due to its unique design, the use of materials could be reduced which is why energy consumption during the production is reduced in return.

Logistics concept with a low carbon footprint

The logistics concept also saves additional resources. Thanks to a specially developed delivery pallet, which can transport up to 24 chairs, the effort involved in transport is significantly reduced, while CO2 emissions are saved. The pallet can also be used as a shop display, made of the same recycled material as the Bell Chair.
