Visionaries, innovators and changemakers from all over the world are expected. The Greentech Festival aims to explore and address the challenges and opportunities in the pursuit of net zero emissions.

What is the Greentech Festival?

The Greentech Festival is more than just a meeting. It is a global platform that strengthens the willingness to change and promotes innovative technologies for a sustainable future. Up to 20.000 visitors are expected over three days. The festival includes 200 renowned speakers, 250 top exhibitors and an award ceremony, which will make it a unique experience. It also provides an opportunity to participate in discussions and explore green solutions. The festival offers an inspiring space for people, ideas, innovations, companies and organizations that want to change the world for the better. The aim of the Greentech Festival, initiated by ex-Formula One driver Nico Rosberg, is to become “bigger, better, greener”.

Venue: Berlin exhibition grounds

This year, new partner Messe Berlin is enabling Europe's largest sustainability festival to fulfill its growth dreams. The Greentech Festival takes place in four halls of the Berlin exhibition center, in the summer garden, in the palais, in the Marshall House and in the radio tower. The motto of this year's festival is also in keeping with the venue: “Accelerating Change from Berlin”.

New: The start-up land

As a new program item this year, the Greentech Festival is offering for the first time start-ups the opportunity to present their innovations in a special exhibition area, in Start-up Land. After a call in December and January, a lot of green start-ups applied for free exhibition space. After a thorough selection process, 50 companies were selected to exhibit their projects. These Green Stars, the most exciting and innovative ideas in the green sector, will be recognized for their originality, feasibility and impact and will be allowed to present their ideas and projects, which will certainly inspire and motivate the other participants.

Speakers at the Greentech Festival

A variety of speakers will present lectures on innovations or approaches for a green future. Confirmed speakers come from different industries to look at the topic from different perspectives. Among them are Christian Lindner, German Federal Minister of Finance, and Cem Özdemir, German Federal Minister for Food and Agriculture. Also taking part are Stephen Dunbar-Johnson, president of international affairs at the New York Times Company, and Mamphela Ramphele, former president of the World Bank & Club of Rome. Other speakers include climate activist and actress Antoinette Taus and actress and creator Fiona Fussi.
